Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited movie Zero released today and it is being celebrated like a festival by his fans. After a decent advance booking, Zero has got a better response in spot bookings and its 1st day box office collections can take a flying start if everything works out well for it.
Zero’s 1st day box office occupancy is around 50-60% in theaters. It is better than morning’s 40%. Its afternoon occupancy was also decent. Although a better fill rate was expected from a Shah Rukh Khan movie, considering the average to decent advance booking, this is not a bad occupancy. The fans and movie community have shown a big crowd in evening and night shows.
The reviews for Zero are mixed. Some are liking the film while some are not. The audience will be giving its verdict. The footfalls will be getting affected or increase depending upon the audience’s recommendations.
Delhi, Kolkata UP and Bengaluru were doing better in terms of occupancy than Mumbai till afternoon but from evening onwards, Mumbai has come in its form. The shows are filling quite rapidly with some showing 70-80% booked. We are guessing by tonight, the crowd will be massive for Zero across the country.
With 4400 screens in India, Zero can mint huge collections on its 1st day. It is getting a terrific response in single screens than multiplexes. With the current occupancy and footfalls, Zero’s 1st day box office collection estimates are around 20-22 crore. However, its night shows are filling fast so the number can even near the 25 crore but it will need fo show that strong sustenance across the country, not just in Mumbai.
The reviews will play a big and crucial role for Zero’s trending in theaters. So far, the scenario is good for the film. Zero also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif and it is directed by Aanand L Rai.
