It was 2010, when a film titled ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ released and it deservedly became a cult movie of Bollywood. Ajay Devgn as Sultan Mirza, in full whites, with his intense eyes and signature dialogues which even today are used by most Indians to impress among friends, OUATIM is one of Ajay Devgn’s best movies.
‘Duwa mein yaad rakhna’, ‘Jab dost banake kam ho to dushman kyu banana?’ ‘Maine zindagi jine ka tarika badla hai, tewar nahi’, these are some of the best punches you will ever watch in Indian films and Ajay Devgn delivering those is the best cinematic experience.
Then there is Emraan Hashmi as Shoaib Khan, a guy who wanted to be the king of Mumbai and betrays Sultan Mirza, who gave the dark treatment to the movie with his impeccable performance. His talks like ‘Raste ki fikar karoonga, to manzil bura maan jayegi’, ‘Zindagi ho to smuggler jaisi, sari duniya rakh ki tarah niche aur khud dhoowein ki tarah upar’, were mind blowing.
‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ was also made great by Milan Luthria’s smart direction, matured character development and efficient storytelling and that’s why his next film Baadshaho is becoming one of the most anticipated movies of 2017. Everyone is highly excited to see the brilliant trio of Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and Milan Luthria once again in Baadshaho after OUATIM.
Baadshaho is an action thriller set in 1975’s emergency situation of India. It is a story of a robbery of armored truck full of gold. Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi are determined to rob the truck and Vidyut Jammwal tries to stop them. This is a promising story and watching Ajay-Emraan working together in an action film is a treat better than anything.
Just like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’, Baadshaho also has gripping dialogues which are evident in the trailer. ‘Wo army thi, par hum bhi to harami the’, ‘Sharam aur main to ek sentence mein nahi aate na madam’, ‘Chaar din ki zindagi aur aj chautha din hai’, these are potent dialogues and are as usual, the biggest strength of Ajay Devgn’s movies.
So far, everything is looking good for Baadshaho although its songs are not as popular as OUATIM. But, being an action film, it can take its cinematic experience to a great level. Let’s hope this trio delivers yet another wonderful film and satisfies the movie buffs’ excitement to the core.
