The big extended weekend due to which the grand clash happened between Raees and Kaabil is now over. Both the films grabbed as much collections as they can. Raees brought in 93 crore while Kaabil collected 67 crore from 5 days of extended opening weekend.
Now, another big test is lying ahead as these films will face the weekdays. The collections will see a usual drop as ticket prices reduce and even footfalls see a fall. However, more than supposed drop will hurt the earnings of the films and it will also reflect in 2nd weekend.
Raees needs to maintain a decent earning streak throughout the week. While 10 crore will be an ideal figure expected from the film, it will be extremely difficult to achieve. But, 7-8 crore should be the threshold for this Shah Rukh Khans starrer crime thriller.
Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has a good chance to show its golden value in weekdays. The film has an amazing word of mouth which will help in attracting audience. Kaabil is also expected to grab in the range of 5-6 crore but one can’t be sure how audience responds to weekdays. Weekdays will prove the stability of both the films.
