Director: Vishal Pandya
Cast: Sharman Joshi, Sana Khan, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajniesh Duggall
Rating: 1.5/5 stars
Wajah Tum Ho is terrible. Everything you can think of that can go wrong in a film making, this film is an ideal example of that. Poorly written characters, pointless songs, ridiculous performances and never ending twists will irritate you to the core.
Wajah Tum Ho is said to be a thriller. A mysterious killer hacks into the system of a leading news channel and live broadcasts the killing of his victims. Now, to find this killer, Inspector Kabir (Sharman Joshi) is appointed. The scenario involves the owner of the news channel Rahul (Rajniesh Duggall), his lawyer Siya (Sana Khan), Inspector Kabir and a government lawyer Ranveer (Gurmeet Choudhary) who will try to solve this case and find out the killer.
The story of this film is decent as far as the hunt for this mysterious killer is concerned. But then, the writers got highly ambitious and added so many twists after twists and plots after plots that you want the film to end at that instant. The writers should understand that the thrill genre needs to have enough twists but not too many, otherwise people might get bored of them. The idea is to surprise the audience; not irritate them.

Vishal Pandya’s direction is poor. Apart from Sharman Joshi’s cop character, rest of the characters were hardly given any care to develop. I never got convinced that Sana Khan and Gurmeet Choudhary were lawyers. I mean, how would anyone think they are lawyers? Half of the time, they are just romancing in green fields and foreign locations while we wait and wonder who is the killer. The film is really loud where everyone is just shouting their dialogues.
The screenplay is ridiculous. Sharman Joshi’s quotes to outsmart Rahul (Rajniesh Duggall) were boring and stretched. Pandya should have told this story in 1 hour 45 minutes or so. There was no point in showing those songs which had no logic to the story. Just when you think the film will end, we are thrown into one more pit of surprise and the conversations during those scenes are horrible.
The cast performance is absolutely substandard. Only Sharman Joshi does a good job as a cop. A bit loud but he carries the role nicely. I don’t understand why he chose this film at first place. Sana Khan needs to work hard on her acting and dialogue delivery. She and Gurmeet Choudhary talk like they are literally just reading the dialogues from the script, without any passion, energy or understanding. Rajniesh Duggall doesn’t even care to act. He is completely ignorable in the film.
Wajah Tum Ho is a complete disaster. No attention to the character writing, uninteresting direction, pointless songs and horrible performances make the film a big failure. There is nothing in this film that could be appreciated as a cinema.
