Salman Khan’s Tubelight released last Friday and to everyone’s surprise, it is not getting a good response at box office. In its opening weekend, the film has collected 64.77 crore. While this is still a strong number, Salman’s films have a great expectation with earnings.
At overseas markets too, Tubelight has not created much stir and has managed to mint 22 crore. The film has crossed the 100 crore mark at worldwide box office in its opening weekend.
Here are Tubelight’s Worldwide Box Office Collections:
Nett. – 64.77 crore
Gross – 93.26 crore
Overseas – 22.55 crore
Total Collections – 115.81 crore
All eyes are now on how much the movie has collected on Eid holiday. If it doesn’t show growth on Eid, there are not much hopes for the film.
The reviews and negative word of mouth are hurting the film’s earnings very much. Audience has not shown its presence and crowd for Salman as it generally does. Its emotional content didn’t make a mark.
Based on 1962’s Indo-China war, Tubelight talks about the story of two brothers and self belief. It also stars Sohail Khan, Om Puri, Matin Rey Tangu, Zhu Zhu and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub. It is directed by Kabir Khan.
