Salman Khan’s Tubelight is struggling at box office as there is no growth in 2nd weekend. The 2nd Saturday earnings and occupancy is almost same as the previous day. Despite no other big Hindi release, the audience is simply not turning up for this Kabir Khan directorial.
According to early estimates, Tubelight has minted approximately 3 crore on its 9th day, to make its total around 112 crore. The numbers are same as that of 8th day and this proves that the film is on the verge of ending its box office run.
The way it is earning, even 130 crore mark is looking difficult for the movie. Eid is Salman Khan’s most fruitful release date slot but Tubelight is proving to be an exception. The crowd is preferring Hollywood movies Baby Driver and Transformers: The Last Knight over Tubelight.
With a big budget, there are big losses distributors and exhibitors are facing. Although, Tubelight is the 6th Highest Grossing Film of 2017, one expects much bigger response from his films.
Tubelight also stars Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, Om Puri and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub. It is based on 1962’s Indo-China war. it shows the emotional story of two brothers.
