Tubelight has under-performed at box office as in 4 days, it has collected 83 crore. While the numbers are still strong, everyone knows the potential of a Salman Khan film. 100 crore mark should have been crossed by the movie in its opening weekend itself but it couldn’t do it, even after an Eid holiday.
In fact, Tubelight’s collections didn’t witness a growth on Eid, ending up earning only 19.09 crore. From today, the normal weekdays have started and this is going to be extremely difficult time for the film as the earnings will be decreasing further. How much further it falls, will decide its lifetime run.
The morning shows’ occupancy so far on 5th day is as low as 20%. Negative word of mouth has already proven a big hurdle for the film and audience are not turning up in theaters.
The afternoon and evening shows will also be seeing an occupancy of around 40-50% maximum as the working population will be absent in weekdays.
Tubelight should collect in the range of 7-9 crore today, i.e. 5th day (1st Tuesday). It needs this earning range to sustain the weekdays. However, if the crowd doesn’t show up for evening and night shows, the numbers will be as low as 5-6 crore.
