Box office and audience are not looking kind for Salman Khan’s Tubelight. This is the first time in this decade his film has received such an average response. The fact that despite collecting 90+ crore in 5 days is a disappointment proves what kind of gigantic earnings his films usually do.
Yesterday (1st Tuesday), was the first normal weekday for the film and as expected, its occupancy and collections dropped by a big margin. Tubelight collected 12 crore on its 5th day and now, its total is 95.86 crore.
Here are Tubelight’s Box Office Collections so far:
Friday – 21.15 crore
Saturday – 21.17 crore
Sunday – 22.45 crore
Monday (Eid) – 19.09 crore
Tuesday – 12 crore
Total Collections – 95.86 crore
By today, it will cross the 100 crore mark which should have been crossed in its opening weekend itself. By the end of its 1st week, the movie will collect around 110 crore.
It still remains to be seen whether Tubelight will surpass the lifetime total of Raees of 139 crore. 200 crore mark is out of the question now as its further days are not going to show any positive signs.
The distributors and exhibitors have suffered huge losses through the film. The movie didn’t get much good reviews and audience were also reluctant to watch the movie. All being said, Tubelight is still 6th Highest Grosser of 2017.
