Tubelight didn’t show any signs of growth on its 2nd day as the collections were similar to its opening day. With 21.15 crore on 1st day and 21.17 crore on 2nd day, Tubelight’s total is 42.32 crore in 2 days which is shocking for a Salman Khan film.
Ideally, the movie should have crossed the 50 crore mark by now. Coming to the 1st Sunday, the scenario is not looking much improved but being a complete holiday, families can come to theaters and the film can show some much needed growth so that it can sustain the weekdays.
So far, the morning occupancy for Sunday has been average and on the lines with its previous days. Afternoon and evening shows can turn things around for the film. The negative reviews and word of mouth have affected the film big time as audience that’s generally evident for Salman’s films is not there.
Tubelight should earn in the range of 22-23 crore on its 1st Sunday, provided it shows increased footfalls in evening and night shows otherwise another 21 crore day is on cards.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight also stars Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu, Om Puri and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub. It tells the story of two brothers and their emotional bond during the Indo-China war of 1962.
