Trailer War: Shivaay vs Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – Who did it better?

Diwali is already getting mega exciting with two grand movies releasing on the same day. While Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay’s trailer was released almost a month back, which was applauded highly by the fans and movie buffs, recently Karan Johar unveiled his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s trailer. ADHM trailer too, created a lot of buzz on social media and became a talk of the town.

Following is our quick analysis on both the trailers:

Ajay Devgn directorial Shivaay trailer itself is a curious storytelling. The trailer has a wise chanting narration related to Lord Shiva. It has an intensity with a phase-wise incidents that catch the eye. First, the love, then family happiness, tragedy and then the eventual destruction in the course of revenge.

This makes the trailer utterly interesting and the music slowly rises and becomes the ultimate triumph in the latter part. The trailer also shows the exciting action the film will have. Only concern we have is some of these action scenes over the mountains are loose and can be clearly seen as computerized. This can be a put-off.

Overall, Ajay Devgn’s trailer of Shivaay is powerful and curious.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil:

The first few moments into the trailer of AHDM and you know Karan Johar’s this film is same as his previous ventures where the lead characters are ever confused between love and friendship. Adding to that is Ranbir Kapoor’s same roles as his previous 3-4 films where we have already seen him in such romantic type.

While the cast of the film makes a good case, the trailer is nothing new except the songs. This kind of story has become mundane and it will work only if Karan has managed to execute it in a refreshing manner.  The taste of audience has evolved now and they expect interesting take on the story.

It is pretty much evident from the analysis that Shivaay’s trailer is much more interesting than ADHM as it has more appeal and thrill attached. Let’s see how the films perform in Diwali.

What do you think about the two trailers? Who did it better?
