Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which was released on 11th August, has completed 4 weeks at box office. It is one of the most successful films of 2017 and is also the 3rd Highest Grossing Movie of this year. Post Baahubali 2, when all the big stars’ movies were getting rejected by the audience, it was Akshay Kumar’s TEPK which brought the crowd back to theaters.

The collections, buzz, occupancy and screen count for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has been reduced now because it has completed 4 weeks. Its collections are approximately 131 crore. The movie received a phenomenal response across the country and majorly from single screens of UP and Bihar.

This is the final phase of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha at box office. It has already been removed from most of the theaters now but it has done its job. TEPK is Akshay Kumar’s 8th 100 crore club movie and 5th consecutive 100 crore club film.

Rowdy Rathore is still Akshay Kumar’s Highest Grossing Film of All Time with 133.25 crore lifetime total. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is currently at 2nd spot. It is now looking difficult for TEPK to surpass RR’s collections.

TEPK is love story but it covers the vital topics of lack of toilets in our country and the issue of open defecation. It also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Divyendu Sharma and Anupam Kher and it is directed by Shree Narayan Singh.
