Toilet: Ek Prem Katha collected 8.25 crore on its 2nd Sunday. The occupancy kept improving as families and youngsters showed up for it. North India has been phenomenal for TEPK. The tax exemption in UP has been very beneficial for the film.

This is a huge achievement for Akshay Kumar as it is his 5th consecutive and 8th overall 100 crore film. The success of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has come at that point when Bollywood was struggling to attract decent crowd in theaters. TEPK will now need to show sustenance in weekdays of 2nd week and its 3rd weekend will give a clear idea about its lifetime total.
