Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has turned the tide in favor of Bollywood box office as audience has turned up for the film. After a very fruitful opening weekend of 51.45 crore, TEPK awaits its next test, the crucial weekdays. So far, the scenario is looking decent.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s 4th day box office morning occupancy is around 20-25%. The fill rate is good in single screens than multiplexes. UP, Bihar and small centers are showing a good hold as they always do in weekdays. This is the same percentage as that of Friday but Friday had witnessed a huge growth in evening and night shows.
This is a usual drop on weekdays so there is not much worry for this content driven film. However, today is a partial holiday of Janmashtami so it can witness a strong growth in footfalls in evening shows. Also, tomorrow is a holiday of Independence Day so the audience will be showing up from tonight itself in theaters. So, the usual drop on Monday for TEKP might not be much. In fact, if it follows the same pattern as Friday, its hold will be strong in weekdays.
Cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru are expected to hold on in weekdays as these are the cities which contributed very well in opening weekend for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The overall occupancy for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha by the end of the day will easily be more than 45%.
It will be great if TEPK can mint around 10 crore on its 4th day which will ensure it can take up big earning on Tuesday, i.e. Independence Day. In a nutshell, TEPK is witnessing a very healthy pattern and it is now eyeing the 100 crore milestone.
