Taapsee Pannu‘s spy thriller ‘Naam Shabana‘ has got a decent response on its opening day. After witnessing an average morning occupancy, the film saw a fair audience in afternoon and evening shows.

It is showing a good crowd in multiplexes. Naam Shabana has collected 5.12 crore on its 1st day. These are good numbers, considering Taapsee doesn’t have a big fan base yet and the film has got a sufficient buzz. It has also got 2100 screens in India so the opportunities to mint money are huge.

Metro cities are giving the maximum revenue to the movie as the makers had promoted the film quite heavily there. Naam Shabana has got good to average reviews which might be a hurdle to witness a big growth. However, its word of mouth is decent and Akshay Kumar’s presence will definitely help the film collect higher over the weekend.

This action flick is expected to see a rise in collections on Saturday and Sunday. It doesn’t have much competition from other films as the buzz for Badrinath Ki Dulhania has ended and Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri is not earning any impressive amount.

This Shivam Nair directorial should collect 15+ crore in its opening weekend. It is a spin-off on Akshay Kumar’s 2015 film ‘Baby’ and it also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prithviraj and Anupam Kher.
