This Friday, Bollywood doesn’t have any new big releases so Naam Shabana will be enjoying a decent 2nd weekend at box office. The collections for this spy thriller has decreased but it still showing a fair occupancy, considering the low star power.
The film has entered the 2nd week from yesterday. On its 2nd Friday (8th Day), it managed to collect 1.07 crore to make its total of 28.25 crore. The screen count for this Taapsee Pannu lead film is decreased as Baahubali: The Beginning has re-released in more than 1000 screens in India.
Naam Shabana should cross the 30 crore mark in its 2nd weekend and it is looking at a lifetime total of around 35 crore. In its opening weekend, Akshay Kumar’s presence gave it a good boost but the weekdays saw a dull earning trend. The film has earned more than other mild budget films of 2017 like Phillauri, Commando 2 and Ok Jaanu.
The movie is a spin-off of 2015 film ‘Baby’ and it shows Shabana’s journey of becoming a spy agent for the country. This Shivam Nair directorial received good to average reviews and Taapsee’s performance was appreciated by the audience. It also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Anupam Kher.
