Since last couple of years, Indian audience has witnessed a radical change as more and more content driven films are being loved by them and so many small budget movies are becoming successful at box office. The crowd is loving the stories from small towns and producers are turning profitable from these small ventures.
Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree is the latest example of such success. This horror comedy is now the most profitable film of 2018. With 112+ crore collections, it has shown how much audience has loved the movie. Stree has completed 3 weeks at box office and it has absolutely dominated the theaters.

Stree is the 7th Highest Grosser of 2018. It might end its theatrical run with lifetime collections in the range of 118-120 crore.
Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan has shown a decent hold in theaters. With exceptional reviews, music and positive response from the crowd, it has managed to cross the 20 crore mark at box office in 1 week. These are not bad collections as Kashyap’s films are not known to mint huge at box office.

Jackky Bhagnani’s Mitron has gone down in its 1st week itself, although his performance has garnered praises from people. It has collected around 3-4 crore so far and sadly, these will be its final collections.
Significant share of screens from Stree and Manmarziyaan will now be allotted to Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which is hitting the theaters from today.
