While Baahubali 2 is ruling the box office in India and overseas, Bollywood releases are failing to attract even a decent crowd in theaters. Both Sarkar 3 & Meri Pyaari Bindu are witnessing minimum footfalls and occupancy for their shows in India and the dull phase for Bollywood continues.
Sarkar 3 couldn’t repeat the thrill it had created through its first part and the audience has simply turned away from this Ram Gopal Varma directorial, despite Amitabh Bachchan’s lead in the film.
Sarkar 3 has collected 90 lakhs on its 1st Monday (4th Day), making its total of 7.65 crore. It won’t even touch the 10 crore mark by the end of first week and after that, its screen will be mostly removed as two new releases will be grabbing them.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra starrer Meri Pyaari Bindu is also earning at a snail’s pace but considering its low screen count, at least its collections are average, not disappointing.
Meri Pyaari Bindu has minted 85 lakhs on 4th day (1st Monday) and its total is now 7.35 crore. Sarkar 3 has double the screen count than MPB yet the latter is earning almost similar amount to that of Sarkar 3.
Meri Pyaari Bindu too, will find it hard to touch the 10 crore line by the end of first week. Baahubali 2 has given a big competition to both these films and the weekdays will be even harder for them.
