Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh’s romantic film ‘Running Shaadi‘ (earlier titled as ‘RunningShaadi.com) is hitting the theatres this Friday. The film is about a big idea about helping people elope. It is directed by Amit Roy.

This movie’s music is composed by different artists such as Abhishek-Akshay, Anupam Roy, Anjana Ankur Singh, Sandeep Mahadevan and Keegan Pinto.

Here is our Music Review of Running Shaadi:

Dimpi De Naal Bhaage Bunty

This is an amazing and playful Punjabi track with mesmerizing voice of Late Labh Janjua. The track gives a feel of ‘London thumakda’. It has lovely fast beats which never go dull. Labh Janjua sings in such a way that it creates a mood of enjoyment.

Pyaar Ka Test

Pyaar Ka Test has quirky lyrics and Bappi Lahiri makes a pleasant impact with his charming voice. This is a dance-worthy track and its speedy tempo makes it a good listen. Bappi Da and Kalpana Patowary’s duet works very well for the song.

Mannerless Majnu

Mannerless Majnu has good lyrics but its music disappoints. The tone is mostly similar to Dimpi De Naal, so it doesn’t give any unique vibe to it. The beats also don’t change much. It’s a sad thing that despite Sukanya Purkayastha’s fresh voice, the song is a let down due to its composing.

Kuch To Hai

Kuch To Hai is a very dull song with nothing much from the music and beats that will make it an engaging track. It lacks the passion and pleasantness which these kinds of songs generally have. The track needed to have a depth. Jubin Nautiyal gives his contribution but that is not good enough.

Bhaag Milky Bhaag

Bhaag Milky Bhaag has a good start with good background music but as the song progresses, it loses its credibility with a weird change in the tone. The song comes off as a confused approach from the composer. Unfortunately, Sanam Puri and Sonu Kakkar’s singing doesn’t shine due to the failed attempt by the music director.

Faraar

Faraar is a decent track. It has a good crooning from Jubin Nautiyal and he holds it all by himself, despite sometimes less efforts and thoughts from the background music. Overall, a fair listen.

Main Faraar Sa

This is a delightful song with much needed melody to this album. The track is rightfully composed and the duet singing from Anupam Roy and Hamsika Iyer adds a good romantic energy. The soft beats and delicate music is integral to such songs and music director has succeeded in that.

Verdict:

Running Shaadi’s music album is pretty average. It has good songs as well as avoidable ones. It doesn’t come off as a well structured album which will give you a mind blowing musical time. It lacks the maturity and depth. Many songs are low in passion and one can only hope they have a good hold in the movie.
