Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta has opened well at box office. Although the reviews for the movie are not good and even the word of mouth has been negative from the first show, it has witnessed a good occupancy in afternoon and evening shows.
Raabta collected 5.61 crore on its opening day (1st Friday). These are good numbers to bring in but now, the challenging thing for Raabta remains is to show some growth over the weekend, i.e. on Saturday and Sunday.
It won’t be easy as the audience who has watched the film are not giving positive recommendations to the movie. This had happened with Half Girlfriend which also failed to show rise over the weekend. However, youngsters might show some crowd for the film as they will be interested to see Sushant-Kriti’s romantic pair on screen.
The good things is that Raabta doesn’t have any competition from other Hindi movie as Behen Hogi Teri (757) has got lesser screens than Raabta (1820). But, its footfalls will see a drop due to the Hollywood film The Mummy.
Raabta is a love story which covers the topic of reincarnation. It also stars Jim Sarbh and is directed by Dinesh Vijan.
