Padmavati sets Vandalized again; this time in Kolhapur

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand film ‘Padmavati‘ is constantly in news but all for the wrong reasons. On the night of 14th Match, Padmavati’s sets in Kolhapur were vandalized and set on fire.

Police have arrested a few people who had arrived on the sets with lathis and stones. There are also reports that animals were still present inside the sets while the fire was set upon it.

The official statement from the makers is awaited. A few weeks ago, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was assaulted by the members of Rajput Karni Sena in Jaipur, Rajasthan over the allegations that there are romantic scenes between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has constantly denied these rumours and confirmed there are no such scenes.

SLB had also assured that there is no distortion in history but the issue is not getting resolved. Padmavati is slated to release in November 2017. It stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
