Taapsee Pannu‘s ‘Naam Shabana‘ is exceeding the trade expectations right from its opening day. While the 1st day collections were thought to be around 4 crore, it went beyond that and earned 5.02 crore.
The trend on 2nd day (1st Saturday) was even better as audience turned up in impressive numbers to witness the story of a spy. The occupancy for evening shows is indicative that Naam Shabana is all set for a very good opening weekend.
The film collected 6.37 crore on its 2nd day at box office. It’s a strong sign for Taapsee as people are showing good interest for the movie. Akshay Kumar’s presence has definitely boosted the box office of the movie as his fans have given a decent support.
The total of Naam Shabana is now 11.49 crore. It should continue the earning in the same range or even better on Sunday so that its opening weekend total can near the 20 crore mark.
This Shivam Nair directorial has got good to average reviews but the numbers are seeming unaffected by it. It is a spin-off of Akshay Kumar’s 2015 film ‘Baby’. It also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Anupam Kher.
