It’s been a good situation for Taapsee Pannu’s Naam Shabana as there are no other releases hindering its collections and occupancy in theaters. The film is collecting quite decently, considering there is no big star (except Akshay Kumar’s small role).
On its 1st Wednesday (6th Day), the film collected 1.80 crore to make its total of 25.60 crore. Today (1st Thursday), it will bring in another 1.50-1.60 crore to make its one week total of around 27 crore.
Naam Shabana is earning more than Phillauri and Commando 2, the films in the same range of budget and buzz. Taapsee Pannu should be happy with such a good response for her film, which is spin-off of Akshay Kumar’s 2015 film ‘Baby’.
Interesting thing is that this Friday, there is other big release expect Baahubali: The Beginning is re-releasing, so Naam Shabana will once again get a good earning opportunity in 2nd week.
This spy thriller also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Anupam Kher and it is directed by Shivam Nair.
