Tiger Shroff’ Munna Michael has witnessed a very dull response on its opening day. The occupancy for the movie right from its morning shows was very poor, 18% and it didn’t really improve in evening and night shows. Despite releasing in 3000 screens in India, it has not managed to mint impressive bucks.
Munna Michael has collected 6.65 crore on its 1st day. Even his A Flying Jatt, which tanked at box office, had collected 7.10 crore on opening day.
Munna Michael was expected to collect in the range 9-10 crore due to its huge buzz and screen count but it didn’t. Heropanti had collected similar collections but its word of mouth and reviews were good, unlike Munna Michael.
Here are the Opening Day Numbers of Tiger Shroff’s Movies:
Heropanti – 6.63 crore
Baaghi – 11.94 crore
A Flying Jatt – 7.10 crore
Munna Michael – 6.65 crore
The reviews for the film are negative and the word of mouth is not good which pretty much tells the tale of this dance action film. It remains to be seen if Munna Michael will show any growth over the weekend. Being a dance film, youngsters were expected to turn up for the movie but they didn’t.
Moreover, many multiplex audience is also preferring Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk which is getting a huge response from metro cities. Interestingly, Munna Michael has got more screens than Jagga Jasoos had got (1800) yet the latter had opened with better numbers.
