After the Baahubali 2 storm that is going on from the last 2 weeks, two new releases hit the theaters today, Sarkar 3 and Meri Pyaari Bindu. However, Baahubali 2 is still ruling the theaters and the morning occupancy for both the new films is very dull.
Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3 has received only around 10% occupancy in morning shows which is very dull. It has got around 1425 screens in India so it needs to show a better fill rate. The reviews for the film are also not looking positive so the afternoon and evening shows might not witness much growth.
Meri Pyaari Bindu has shown a better occupancy than Sarkar 3. With 15-20% crowd in its morning shows, this is a good sign for the film but compared to Sarkar 3, it has lesser screen share, i.e. 750 so it needs to maintain and increase this fill rate by afternoon and evening shows.
The biggest factor to be considered for these new releases Baahubali 2 is still pulling the majority of crowd and it will have another mind blowing weekend. The reviews for both the new movies are not great so it will be difficult for them to compete with Baahubali 2’s grand presence in theaters.
