Sridevi starrer Mom is enjoying its box office run. After witnessing an excellent opening weekend with 14 crore collections, it has also passed the crucial Monday test. The occupancy for the film was good and in fact, it was more than its Friday footfalls.
Mom collected 2.52 crore on its 1st Monday. Its opening day numbers were 2.90 crore but the ticket prices are always higher in weekend so if you observe carefully, the Monday earnings are actually better than its 1st day.
The total of Mom in 4 days is 16.92 crore. It will maintain this pattern for the rest of the week and who knows, it might even grow further. By the end of 1st week, the film can touch the 23 crore mark.
The reviews for Mom have been extremely positive and audience is recommending it to others. Being a socially relevant movie, the crowd is showing up for in theaters and Sridevi’s performance is been loved by everyone.
What’s more important is that Indian crowd is increasingly giving positive response to content driven films in recent times which is a good sign for Indian cinema. Pink, Hindi Medium and now, Mom, good times for Bollywood.
Despite Hollywood giant Spider-Man: Homecoming releasing with a bigger screen share, Mom is constantly getting a healthy response for its shows. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, it also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna.
