Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has raised its protests and aggression over the casting of Pakistani actors. MNS has warned that it won’t allow Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees to be released until Pakistani artists are replaced.
In a press conference on Wednesday, MNS Cine Workers Association President, Ameya Khopkar said, “There would be no compromise on this issue. If Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan want to release their movies, they should replace the Pakistani actors. The country comes first, then art and culture. Despite getting money and fame in India, if these Pakistani artists refuse to condemn the terrorist attacks, then why should we allow them on our soil?”
On 18th September, 18 of our soldiers died fighting against the terrorists in Uri. MNS had earlier given 48 hours ultimatum to Pakistani artists to leave the country. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has Fawad Khan’s small role while Raees marks the debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
