In January 2017, the box office clash between Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees became very heated as it turned very ugly. From making allegations to fights over screen count to box office numbers, the clash was talk of the town but all for wrong reasons.
Rakesh Roshan, the producer of Kaabil was very angry with SRK as they had announced the release date of Kaabil first yet they didn’t get equal screens as Raees. Raees went on to collect 139 crore while Kaabil minted 121 crore.
Now, Shah Rukh Khan’s yet untitled film with Anushka Sharma is releasing on 11th August. Akshay Kumar recently postponed the release of his film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha‘ from 2nd June to 11th August. So, we are going to witness another grand clash this Independence Day weekend.
While SRK and Akshay Kumar don’t have any cold vibes over the clash, it’s Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta who took to Twitter as soon as this news hit the social media. Sanjay Gupta taunted SRK and said that Karma has made this clash.
Check out what Gupta tweeted:
Well, Shah Rukh has not replied to this. SRK vs Akshay Kumar’s clash is going to make big waves in coming months. Let’s hope this one doesn’t turn ugly as the previous one.
