Aamir Khan has contributed so much to Bollywood and Indian cinema that he is clearly a gold standard and he is single handedly writing the future of Indian films in China. After releasing in China on 5th May, within 17 days, it has collected 730 crore, which is not just record breaking and historic but unbeatable as the second best Indian film there, PK (also Aamir Khan’s film), had collected 125 crore.
With such a gigantic earning, Dangal’s worldwide box office total is almost 1500 crore. There is no stopping for the movie as it is collecting 100 crore/Day in weekends and 30 crore/day in weekdays. If it continues like this, it will soon even earn the 1000 crore from China itself.
This biopic’s worldwide total is currently 1498 crore. It is the first Bollywood film and second Indian film to cross 1000 crore mark and by today, it will go beyond the 1500 crore milestone. This is a history getting written.
Here is Dangal’s Worldwide Box Office Collection Break-Up:
Before China Release, Dangal’ global total was: 740 crore
China: 730 crore
Taiwan: 25.78 crore
Total Collections: 1498.78 crore
Dangal’s Taiwan collections are also mind blowing as it is running there for the last 6-7 weeks and the audience is loving it. The film is now cruising towards Baahubali 2‘s worldwide total which is 1550+ crore.
The way Dangal is earning in China, it is all set to beat Baahubali 2’s collections globally as being in 4th week, Baahubali 2’s earning pace has slowed down.
Hollywood film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is releasing in China on 26th May which will affect Dangal’s screen count and collections but if the Chinese audience shows its incredible response to Dangal in 4th week too, then Dangal will be once again collecting massive and who knows, it can even touch the 2000 crore mark at worldwide box office. Truly a Dangal Mania!
On a concluding note, isn’t it a proud feeling that Dangal and Baahubali 2 are dominating the global cinema platform which is a display of Indian films’ talent?
