Aamir Khan’s Dangal is single handedly taking Indian cinema to global level and not just that, it is rewriting the box office milestones in each country it is releasing. After dominating India, US, China and Taiwan, this biopic is now ruling the Hong Kong box office.
Dangal has already become the Highest Grossing Indian Film in Hong Kong and now, after 6 weeks, it has also crossed the 21 crore mark. This is an exceptional feat and it shows how much the audience there is loving the movie.
Dangal’s total till its 6th weekend its HK$ 25,430,761 (21.31 crore). It might touch the 25 crore line as well in coming days. Bollywood films don’t survive till 6 weeks in India but Dangal is doing it easily in overseas markets, stating its power.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a story of Mahavir Singh Phogat who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita to become world class wrestlers. It also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar.
