Amitabh Bachchan is a living legend who even at the age 74, is giving powerful performances with his impeccable acting. The actor was last seen in Pink for which he got critical acclaim and the movie also won the National Award for the Best Film on Social Issues.
The exciting news for Amitabh’s fans is that the actor will be making a special appearance in R. Balki-Akshay Kumar’s Padman. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog about the same and we are happy to the core.
Amitabh posted: “R Balki shoots a film with Akshay Kumar and Sonam at the IIT Delhi, one of the most prestigious Institutes of world reckoning and wishes that I make a small appearance as myself for a few shots .. so in at the early hours and out by the afternoon and back home in Mumbai .. its a home to home trip .. and back to the grind ..”
R. Balki is one of the unique directors of Bollywood and he has constantly cast Amitabh in his movies. Their association for Cheeni Kum, Paa and Shamitabh has worked amazingly so it was not a surprise that he will be seen in Padman, even if it is for a cameo.
We are also joyous to see Akshay and Amitabh once again on screen. Padman is a real story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is a social entrepreneur. He invented affordable sanitary napkin machine for rural women.
Padman also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. The film was previously being shot in Madhya Pradesh and now, it is going on in IIT Delhi.
