Christopher Nolan’s war film Dunkirk has received incredible reviews from critics all over the world and it is also getting an impressive response from Indian audience. Being considered as one of the greatest directors of Hollywood, Nolan’s films have a huge fan base in India too.
Dunkirk witnessed a very good opening day in India. It collected around 3.50 crore (Nett.) on 1st Friday, including the shows on Thursday. Metro cities’ crowd is highly interested for Dunkirk and it is getting a better response than Munna Michael in multiplexes.
War films from Hollywood is always a wonderful thing for cinema and Nolan directing one is another attracting point for movie goers. Dunkirk is said to be one of the greatest war films ever made. Dunkirk is a story of survival of Allied forces in France wherein they are surrounded by German army, during the World War II.
It is carrying an extraordinary word of mouth from audience so it is a given that there will be a big growth in its collections in opening weekend.
What’s more interesting is that Dunkirk is not dubbed in other languages yet it is getting such a good response. This proves the massive fan base of Nolan in India. Entirely shot through IMAX cameras, watching it in IMAX screens is also a huge trend as it’s a great experience.
