One of the biggest films of 2017, Salman Khan’s Tubelight is hitting the theaters on 23rd June, 2017. The fans and the entire film community are waiting to see how the film fares and what box office records it attains.
Based on the Indo-Sino war of 1962, Tubelight tells the story of a man and his undying faith to bring his brother back from war. The teaser, trailer and songs have raised the intensity to a greater level for the movie so the most obvious question remains, what will be the opening day collection of Tubelight?
Here is our Box Office Prediction for Tubelight:
Salman Khan is the biggest positive for the film. The guy is a brand in himself and millions of his fans will turn out for the movie just to see him on screen.
Eid: Salman Khan’s films and Eid have a record breaking combination. From 2009-2016, each of his film that released in Eid has done a massive business. So, Eid holiday and weekend will give a huge boost to Tubeligth’s business.
Content: Tubelight’s trailer and songs have created a strong buzz on social media. Radio song is topping the charts so this is a very good sign for the film.
The concerning aspect of Tubelight is that although it has got a strong interest going on, it is not as big as Salman Khan’s previous films like Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Tubelight is an emotional film in which Salman is playing a role of a slow learner. While it’s a good thing that Salman is choosing different roles, this film will not have appeal in all the age groups.
Salman is not seen as a macho action hero in Tubelight and such emotional story was already told in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. So, the buzz is not as high as his previous films.
Having said all these things, Tubelight has a heavy reputation despite some drawbacks.
In a nutshell, Tubelight will take an opening of around 28-30 crore on its opening day. If the reviews for the movie are good and word mouth is positive, the collections might increase. But, in the end, it’s Salman Khan, one of the biggest stars of Bollywood today so there is always a surprise factor which can exceed trade expectations.
