After last week’s dull box office run, Bollywood will look to change things around this Friday. But will they? Hard to say. This Friday, two new releases are there: Lucknow Central and Simran. Both the movies are strong in stories and lately, Indian audience is giving such films a good response. So, if these movies click with the crowd, they can be a success.
Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central is a prison break story, inspired by true events. Farhan as Kishan forms a music band in jail and plans an escape. Lucknow Central’s trailer and its songs have been accepted well by the movie community. However, its buzz is not big and the movie will have majority of its interest level coming from multiplex.
Lucknow Central will take a slow start. It will open in the range of 2-2.5 crore. As its reviews and word of mouth begin to spread, the collections may increase or decrease. Farhan Akhtar has a great reputation as an actor which can ensure a decent crowd right from its first day.
Kangana Rananut is constantly in news for talking about nepotism and other issues of Bollywood which are actually helping her movie Simran to get a good attention. Currently, Kangana is riding high on her impeccable performances so Simran can be her another masterpiece.
Simran is a story of a Gujarati girl who is kleptomaniac and addicted to gambling. It is directed by Hansal Mehta. Kangana has a wide fan base and her movies have also done great at box office. Simran has a bigger buzz than Lucknow Central but both of them will get almost equal screen share.
After Queen, audience will be interested to see Kangana in such roles again. Simran will collect around 3 crore on its 1st day. It can grow well over the weekend if the reviews for it are positive.
