This month is raining sequels in Bollywood. Last week, it was Rock On 2 and this week, two sequels are releasing: Force 2 and Tum Bin 2. Force 2 has created a decent buzz in the audiences, in fact, its trailer was lauded unanimously by the film community. John Abraham has become one of the most credible action stars in last few years and his fan following is elegant which will help the film attract a good crowd. Force 2 also stars Sonakshi Sinha who has established herself as a versatile actress and after Akira, she is known to do impressive fight scenes. Together, John and Sonakshi put up a strong case for Force 2.
Force 2 is expected to take an opening of 4-5 crore. The current demonetization situation in India will also affect the film in some ways. Although, many people now will have a good amount of new currency with them, not everyone will be willing to spend it on movies. Audience might keep it for the daily household needs.
Another release is Tum Bin 2. A sequel to 2001 film Tum Bin, Tum Bin 2 has not really created much buzz. Its trailer received an average to dull response and its music too, didn’t generate any kind of happening environment. The interest for this romantic film is pretty low and its star cast is also not popular, eventually making the film low in interest. Tum Bin 2 is expected to earn 1.5-2 crore on its opening day. Positive reviews and word of mouth till the afternoon might change the situation for the film.
