This Friday is one of those days when multiple movies are releasing but not any of them are big enough to make an impact at the box office. However, the content of the films can change their fate and earnings.
Four films are releasing this Friday. Banjo, Parched,Wah Taj and Days of Tafree. Banjo, being the biggest of them all, has created a good promotion and has a decent chance to outshine others. Riteish Deshmukh is the lead of the film. Ritiesh has an impressive box office record when it comes to multi-starrer films like Housefull 3 which earned 100 crore but his solo films are not as successful as the multi-starrers. His last solo film was in 2012 – Tere Naal Love Ho gaya which did a decent business. Banjo covers a story of the local banjo players of Mumbai and it has a good appeal in Mumbai which can act as a positive point for the film and it can earn majority of its pie from this city and some other parts of Maharashtra.
Parched has a unique topic of four rural women and their fight for freedom. The fact that it has been produced by Ajay Devgn has given it a good platform for promotion on social media. The film can earn a good amount in multiplexes but only after a good word of mouth, it can shine at the box office.
Shreyas Talpade and Manjari Fadnis starrer Wah Taj is looking fun from the trailer. The promotions for the film were not much so it all boils down to the critics and audiences how they find it. Days of Tafree is a complete comedy flick and has a youth friendly content but not having a known star cast might take it some time for people to realize it is actually released.
