Hollywood movie is out-earning the new Bollywood releases again this week. Emma Watson’s ‘Beauty & The Beast’ has taken charge of Indian box office.
The fantasy drama collected around 1.50 crore on its 1st day and the collections grew on its 2nd day wherein it raked in approximately 2.10 crore, making its total of 3.60 crore. The buzz for this movie is good as the topic is interesting for kids as well as young audience and family prefers such films in weekend.
Rajkummar Rao’s Trapped has won the critics and audience with the griping storyline and impressive performance. However, its appeal and low screen count have been a concern. Trapped is getting most of its earnings from multiplexes. It had collected 26 lacs on its opening day and yesterday witnessed a slight growth as it brought in 46 lacs, making a 2 day total of 75 lacs with a total of 300 screens.
Abbas-Mustan’s Machine is a failure from the content point of view as well as box office numbers. It merely managed to mint around 1.20 crore in 2 days and there are no hopes for the movie as theaters are not recording much footfalls for it.
Trapped and Machine are looking like a one week affair as even opening weekend is very weak for them.
