Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan is not finding a decent number of audience so its collections have started dropping on 2nd day itself. Opening weekend is the most important phase for a movie at box office but it seems Begum Jaan is failing to make the most of it.
After minting 3.94 crore on 1st day, this Srijit Mukherji directorial could only manage to bring in 3.50 crore on 2nd day (1st Saturday). This drop is a concern for the makers as the trend is not looking healthy and weekdays will go further down.
The total of Begum Jaan in now 7.44 crore in 2 days which is not impressive. It will touch the 10 crore mark by today (1st Sunday). The movie has got poor reviews so is the word of mouth hence the growth on 3rd day is not possible.
Hollywood movie The Fate of the Furious is also eating a majority of Begum Jaan’s earnings as it is earning quite heavily, with more than 30 crore collections so far.
This Vidya Balan film doesn’t have many opportunities as it is declining in 1st weekend itself so the hopes from weekdays and 2nd week are negligible.
