Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu is released today with a good buzz. Considering the kind of fan following both these stars pull across the country, one would have hoped for a better response for the film. The advance booking for BGMC was also not good which is worrisome.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu has received a weak response so far on its 1st day morning at box office. The occupancy in theaters in just 15-20% which is not expected from a Shahid-Shraddha starrer. Although the promos had not worked very well so there was a hint that the movie may not attract big footfalls, still a decent occupancy and fill rate was expected.
The early reviews are still awaited and those will decide how the film will fare. Afternoon and evening shows need to show a rise otherwise Batti Gul Meter Chalu will suffer a disastrous fate. If it gets good reviews, it can grow over the weekend.
The current box office prediction for this Shree Narayan Singh directorial is 6-7 crore but if it doesn’t get a good footfall, that will also look like a far target. Keep following this space for the latest box office of Bollywood movies.
