Badrinath Ki Dulhania has enjoyed its box office run like a rock-star. After entering the 100 crore club in 2 weeks, it has also crossed the 110 crore mark in its 3rd week.
The collections are now decreasing with each day passing as the buzz surrounding it has diminished. On its 3rd Wednesday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania collected approximately 90 lacs to make its total of around 110.90 crore in 20 days.
It’s amazing to witness the trend BKD had in its 1st and 2nd week. It is only 5 crore short of Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 which shows the kind of impressive response audience gave to this Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer.
The movie has almost ended its box office run. This Friday, Taapsee Pannu-Akshay Kumar’s spy thriller Naam Shabana is releasing which will take over the majority of screens of BKD. It should settle at a lifetime total of 114 crore. BKD is the 4th highest grosser of 2017 and also Alia Bhatt’s highest grossing film of all time.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second film of this franchise and it is directed by Shashank Khaitan. It narrates the story of a couple and Indian wedding problems with focus on dowry problems in our country and discrimination between a man and a woman.
