Two things are insanely popular in India: Cricket and Movies. When it comes to movies, Indian audience is majorly a star driven population. While it is good to be a fan of movie stars, it is a bit concerning thing sometimes in our country as the basic of cinema is story and storytelling.
There are so many films which deserve a huge appreciation for its concept and story but due to the lack of star power and hence buzz, they couldn’t make a mark. S. S. In 2015, when Baahubali: The Beginning released, everyone took the movie in their hearts and it showed what a sustained vision of cinema can do. The thoughtful character driven story by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad and visionary direction of Rajamouli with epic visuals that showed the power of VFX and set the benchmark in our industry.
