Akshay met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about his film and discuss the issue of sanitation and preventing open defecation in the country.
Well, just the title of the film made PM Modi smile and it is understandable as the title is unique and funnily thought provoking. Akshay took to Twitter and shared the incident with his fans and thanking Modi for the visit.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is reportedly based on Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and it covers the serious issue of open defecation and lack of toilets in our country. PM Modi is very active in this campaign so it was a good decision to meet with him and discuss this topic.
TEPK also stars Bhumi Pednekar and it is directed by Shree Narayan Singh. It is releasing on 11th August, 2017, clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s The Ring.
