Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is all set to release this Friday. With a love story in hand and three mega stars in the cast, the film has gained a lot of buzz already. The film has received a lot of popularity for its music so it would be an advantage for it this Diwali where it is clashing with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.

Here’s our review on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s Music Album:

Music Director: Pritam
Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

Rating: 3.5 stars

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (Title Track)

This song defines the core theme of the film and it’s a perfect track which describes love and pain. Arijit Singh’s voice blissfully expresses the emotions and lets you dissolve into it. Every musical aspect such as music, lyrics and vocals have worked wonderfully for the title track, thanks to Pritam. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil song denotes the passion of love.

Bulleya

If the title track is full of passion, Bulleya is rich in intensity. Bulleya has some heavy lyrics from Amitabh Bhattacharya and with Amit Mishra’s mesmerizing singing, the song is a hard hitting delight to listen to. Bulleya is a balanced song; it is not too fast paced yet not too slow. Pritam cleverly changes the tone in a further of the song when Shilpa Rao sings a part. It gives the song a valued depth. Bulleya has an amazing background score which makes the song alive and expresses a beautiful aggression of a lover.

Channa Mereya

Claimed as the best song of his career by Ranbir Kapoor, Channa Mereya is not as effective as the above two. Arijit Singh sings a decent track but it somehow doesn’t connect to the heart completely. It might have a weight in the film but as a song in the album, it is low in impact.

The Breakup Song

The Breakup Song is a typical teenage targeted track to describe the break up in a fun way. The song is not much appealing and doesn’t even have a party kind of high beats but it might have a connect to the modern youth. Overall, it’s a passable song from the album.

Cutiepie

Cutiepie is a complete party track with Pardeep Singh Sran & Nakash Aziz singing it in a fully energetic tone. It is fun and adds a joyful vibe to the album. Cutiepie has good dancing beats with lyrics having a relevance to the young crowd.

Conclusion:

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a highly balanced music album. It has wonderful songs like the Title Track and Bulleya. Additionally, it includes party track as well to add a variety to the romanticism. Pritam has crafted the music with much power and potency to make this album a memorable delight. We loved it.
