Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is writing history in Indian cinema by climbing milestones after milestones and achieving new heights at global box office as well. With its China domination, Dangal has now become the 5th Highest Grossing Non-English Movie Worldwide.
This is incredible! Just understand that there are only four non-English films in the world which are ahead of Dangal. With earnings close to $300 million worldwide, Dangal is the first Indian movie to achieve this mega milestone.
Only China’s ‘The Mermaid’ ($533 million), Monster Hunt ($386 million), France’s ‘The Intouchables’ ($427 million) and Japan’s ‘Your Name’ ($354 million) are ahead of Dangal.
Dangal is truly a global phenomenon and it’s a pride of Indian cinema. It is the Highest Grossing Indian Film of All Time Globally, Top Grossing Indian Movie in China and also the Highest Grossing Non-Hollywood Film in China of All Time.
Its worldwide total is around 1941 crore and soon, it can touch the 2000 crore mark. It’s a biopic on Mahavir Singh Phogat which also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
