Aamir Khan is once again proving why he is the most popular Indian actor in China. Within 3 days of his film Dangal‘s release in China, it has broken multiple records already and has collected a humongous total.
On its 3rd day (1st Sunday), the film minted $ 5.05 million (32.48 crore). Now, Dangal has collected a mind blowing $ 11.30 million (72.68 crore) in its opening weekend. This is huge, in fact, these are the highest opening weekend collections for any Indian film in China.
Here are Dangal’s Opening Weekend Collections in China:
Friday – $ 2.08 million (13.39 crore)
Saturday – $ 4.17 million (26.81 crore)
Sunday – $ 5.05 million (32.48 crore)
Total 1st Weekend – $ 11.30 million (72.68 crore)
Dangal will soon surpass PK’s 125 crore total in China to become the highest grossing Indian film there. Chinese audience is loving the movie and the occupancy for it in theaters is unbelievable.
Before Dangal’s release in China, its worldwide total was 742 crore which has now become 812 crore. It is also the 2nd Indian film to cross the 800 crore mark after Baahubali 2.
