He is called ‘The Perfectionist’ of Bollywood. The reason Aamir Khan is called that is obvious – he goes deep into his character and gives such marvelous performances that they become one of the best in film industry. Throughout his career, Aamir has strong focus in two aspects: First is choosing a strong and unique script and second one is mind-blowing acting.
Aamir is also an innovative actor. He has started so many trends at box office. His 2008 film Ghajini is the first Bollywood film to cross the 100 crore collections. Other films were just getting used to 100 crore club and then Aamir’s film 3 Idiots created another milestone: 200 crore club. Aamir was rewriting the rules of box office and himself breaking it as well.
In 2014, his film PK went on to surpass the 300 crore mark and this time, it was pretty evident that no one can rule the box office like him. Much appreciated thing about Aamir’s films is that they are devoid of masala and unnecessary entertainment and are always rich in content and good social message. In last 2 years, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan entered the 300 crore club and after 2 years of PK, Aamir returned at box office with a biopic Dangal.
Dangal became the fastest film to enter 300 crore club (in 13 days). It has beaten PK’s collections to become the Highest Grosser of All Time. It didn’t stop there, it entered the 350 crore club and finally, collected a total of 387 crore.
It doesn’t look like this gigantic record will be broken anytime soon. These achievements state that Aamir Khan is the Gold Standard of Bollywood! His recipe of making films is simple – strong script, exceptional preparation and outstanding performance.
