Actor John Abraham just released the first look poster of his forthcoming movie Batla House, based on the real-life encounter which took place in Indian Capital.
John dropped the first look on his social media profile. He captioned it, “Every story has two points of view. One WRONG. The other RIGHT. But what if the lines are blurred? Very very blurred! @itsBhushanKumar @nikkhiladvani @TSeries @EmmayEntertain @johnabrahament @bakemycakefilms”
“Encounters: 70 Cases: 33 Convictions: 22 Gallantry Awards: 9 Accusations: 1 “When everything you’ve achieved could be wiped out in that one moment.” The story of India’s Most Decorated/Controversial Cop”
Here are the posters:
John Abraham will be seen donning man in uniform once again and he looks dapper in the first look. After a span of 10 years, actor John Abraham is collaborating with director Nikkhil Advani for Batla House.
John is playing the character of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav who spearheaded the infamous 2008 Batla House Encounter case. The film will be shot in real life locations, which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Nepal.
Batla House took place almost a decade ago, where a seven-member Special Cell Team barged into a flat in Batla House, Jamia Nagar in search of Atif Bashir, Chief of the Indian Mujahideen who was behind several bomb blasts between 2003 and 2008. What followed was a nail-biting encounter, during which two cops and two suspected terrorists were killed.
The encounter will be seen from three perspectives – that of the police, those present near the location, and the real picture. The film releases on 15th August 2019. With films like Parmanu and Satyameva Jayate, John has already made successful ventures with patriotic topics and with Batla House, he will continue this amazing streak.
